Why do dentists have a lot of pointy things in the clinic?

I went to the dentist's for a general checkup. I suppose I've told you this before, but i HATE the Dental Clinic. Well, the dentist is a nice person {A good friend of my father} and the people around are also nice, but then the question of pointy things comes up and...
I enter the clinic. The receptionist greets me warmly and I grin back. Suddenly a huge yelp is heard behind me. I instantly think its my driver who has run over the car on a dog. But what I see is erm..... two dogs and you know what. The receptionist and another dentist are debating on what they are doing in Kannada {Its a language}. I desperately whisper to myself "Those two dogs are, those two dogs are...." {The door is made of glass, and you could see everything} Then the dentist calls me and I'm prepared for the worst. He looks at me and says "Bhalo Achees to? {You're fine right?}" {The dentist is a south indian, and so am i, but we talk to each other in English, Hindi and Bengali} I mutter to myself "No way am i fine Doc". He hears me {I think he is also an ENT specialist, especially the 'E' part} and says, "Oh nothing will happen today, its just a checkup...."

for long. I have a tough studying rhythm which is Crawling in my skin!. Maybe once a week I'll be posting. In any case My projects deadlines are coming to an end. Maybe will find time to post. Until then....

Just yesterday I was on the verge of emotional breakdown {popularly know as weeping} as I culdn't find my nicely done Chemistry project...... I found it with my powers {OK OK, it was a wild guess of the order when-everything-fails} I still have my history, computers, Maths {DAMN!}, and English projects left {Boo-hooo}

The festival of lights as it is called, though Dhoni { The Indian Cricket Team's Wicketkeeper} already blasted the bombs a day early in Jaipur, Rajasthan by created a new World record of the highest runs scored by a wicketkeeper in a One Day International cricket game. He beat Adam Gilchrist. He also holds the 4th highest of 148 by a 'keeper. He scored 185 and was not out!

In other news Kimi Raikonnen had a minor surgery in Helsinki, Finland. GET WELL SOON KIMI WE WANT WEST McLAREN MERCEDES TO WIN NOT THOSE DARN FERRARI GUYS OR THE WILLIAMS F1 GUYS!!!!!!!!!!
I believe he is going to be the next best thing after Mika Hakkinen!!!!! WHOOOO
